With the rapid growth of AI use across the world, it has found its way into the classroom. This blog post will be discussing the benefits of keeping AI separated from the classroom and how AI can impact some of the key aspects of the classroom.

Strengthening Human Connection: Without AI, the teacher-student relationship remains at the core of the learning process. Personal interactions foster emotional intelligence, empathy, and deeper connections, which can enhance both teaching and learning experiences.

Encouraging Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Relying less on AI tools encourages students to engage actively with the material, develop problem-solving strategies, and think critically without automated assistance. A big connection with this is also creativity. Using AI as a shortcut to get things done can limit creativity in individuals. Limiting AI use can promote students to think outside of the box.

Developing Foundational Skills: Without AI, students focus on mastering foundational skills like handwriting, mental arithmetic, and research without shortcuts, building discipline and independence. These are skills that we all learn in school whether we realize it or not and they are important skills to learn for the future.
